9 Secret Codes To Unlock Hidden Features On Android Phones

The Secret Codes USSD protocol enables you to use the dialer on your smartphone to access undiscovered functions. However, there are several complexities you should be aware of.

We would LOVE to give you an exhaustive list of all the different codes, but doing so would be pointless. These codes rarely function with several carriers, operating systems, or phone models (or even with previous iterations of the same device).

Your best bet may be to Google your phone’s manufacturer and carrier with “USSD” to find a specific, extensive list if you’re truly interested in trying them out. I tried a number of codes on an iPhone SE, an AT&T-operated Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S7 Edge, as well as several different carrier SIM cards. Some of them actually did! 13 codes that I can confirm worked on at least one device are listed below.

1. General Test Mode: *#0*#

The phone will then enter its hidden diagnostic mode after you type #0# on the dial pad. You don’t need to press on the green call button to enter the command because the procedure is automatic. The feature is therefore disabled on your device if you enter the code and nothing happens.

2. Display your IMEI: *#06#

Knowing your iPhone’s IMEI is a helpful skill and may even be necessary if you’re unlocking it, but it has recently become more challenging since Apple stopped publishing the number on the back of its phones.

However, there are still a variety of techniques to locate an iPhone’s IMEI. In this post, we present the six most straightforward and practical methods. Naturally, you only need one, so go with the approach that is most convenient for you.

3. Quick Test Menu (Samsung Galaxy Only) *#7353#
