The Secret Codes USSD protocol enables you to use the dialer on your smartphone to access undiscovered functions. However, there are several complexities you should be aware of.
We would LOVE to give you an exhaustive list of all the different codes, but doing so would be pointless. These codes rarely function with several carriers, operating systems, or phone models (or even with previous iterations of the same device).
Your best bet may be to Google your phone’s manufacturer and carrier with “USSD” to find a specific, extensive list if you’re truly interested in trying them out. I tried a number of codes on an iPhone SE, an AT&T-operated Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S7 Edge, as well as several different carrier SIM cards. Some of them actually did! 13 codes that I can confirm worked on at least one device are listed below.
1. General Test Mode: *#0*#
The phone will then enter its hidden diagnostic mode after you type #0# on the dial pad. You don’t need to press on the green call button to enter the command because the procedure is automatic. The feature is therefore disabled on your device if you enter the code and nothing happens.

4. Hide Your Phone From Caller ID: #31#
You might have received a call from unknown number. The caller might have hidden the ID intentionally or sometimes it can be accidental. If you want to hide the caller ID dial *31# and press call button.
5. Reveal caller ID: #31#
If you had hidden the caller ID while making a call or you realize your caller ID is hidden, all you need to do is dial the secret code #31# and press the call button
6. Check your call forwarding: *#67#
This code allows you to check which number your phone is currently forwarding calls to when you’re busy or reject a call.
7. Activate call Waiting: *43#
This code activates call waiting. When someone calls when you are on another call he will be prompted to wait
8. Deactivate call waiting: #43#
If you want to deactivate call waiting dial #43#.
9. Secret Field Mode: *3001#12345#
Type 3001#12345# into your phone’s dialer and then press the green call button to access “Field Mode,” which can give you access to info about local networks and cell towers.
